Where to travel in the Philippines

The Philippines is the right place when it comes to your next dream vacation. We are rich of natural beauty like spectacular beaches, sunny weather and bio-diversity. Aside from that, what attracts more tourists to choose us were the cuisine, people and lifestyle.

In visiting here in the Philippines, I would highly suggest you include BOHOL in your bucket list. Bohol is on of the 7, 107 islands that compromises the Philippines. Bohol is located in the middle of the country. Despite being small, you will be surprise what this island province has to offer.

VIA BOAT:
If you are coming from Cebu, Bohol is just a short fast craft away. The travel time is 1.5 to 2 hours depending on where you are traveling to Bohol. Boats from Cebu to Bohol depart from Cebu port. Cebu port is quite big so I recommend to go in Pier 1 since two of the most popular companies depart from here. The Oceanjet and the Supercat. I also suggest Tagbilaran City as your choice of arrival point. Prices of the tickets were ranging from 300 pesos to 1000 pesos depending on your choice of comfort. For more info, you can visit their websites.

WHAT ARE THE TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN BOHOL

When it comes to the tourist attractions, Bohol is never short of it. We have amazing arrays of sights, activities and spectacular events.

1. CHOCOLATE HILLS
 - This breathtaking attraction is a geological formation. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometers. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during dry seasons, hence the name. The main viewing point of the Chocolate Hills is the government -owned Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen, about 55km(34 miles) Tagbilaran City. No trip to Bohol is complete without seeing this iconic landmark, this is even featured in our local currency

3. LOBOC RIVER
- This amazing river passes thru the town of Loboc where it offers various activities. Loboc is merely 24KM away from Tagbilaran City. To get here is very easy because there are lots of public transports going thru or passing thru this town. I suggest you go to the Integrated Bus Terminal and ask for assistance in the Public Assistance Desk or get an organized tour. Tourists can cruise in this river in two ways. First is thru a small motorized banca for a minimal fee. The second way is thru the Floating Restaurant for those who wants to eat while cruising. The Resto offers Filipino Cuisine buffet and other local delicacies . Most of the floating restos offers their guest with a Boholano songs played by in-boat rondalla band during the cruise.

4. THE TARSIER
- Spend time with this cute furry friend. The Tarsier are synonimous in Bohol as well. They are nocturnal aminals and is considered as an endangered specie. They are also known as the smallest primate in the world. You can visit the Tarsier Conservation Area in Loboc and the Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella. It allows the tourist to not just see the Tarsier but to learn more about them. Just a friendly reminder is to keep the noise down because they are sensitive to sound. Also, touching the Tarsier is strongly prohibited. Lastly, is to turn off your flashes while taking pictures because it might wake them up and will stress them.

Upon crossing, the hanging bridge will sway but don't worry because this is completely safe. The bridge is made out of bamboo and steel. It is a 131-foot long bridge and is 25 meters atop of Loboc River. Foe safety purposes also, the government allows only 10 peoples at a time to cross the bridge.
